Starring Richard Widmark as the self-aggrandizing writer Henry Bird, who is hired by a Hollywood producer (Ed Begley) to create a script for a film about "all mothers everywhere." Saroyan wrote the show upon his return from Hollywood, where he wrote "The Human Comedy."
