Zero Mostel as Tevye and Maria Karnilova as his wife Golde lay in bed during the dream sequence, Act I. Tevye tries to convince Golde that Grandma Tzeitel, who appears in the dream, wants Tzeitel to marry Lazar Wolf during the song "The Tailor, Motel Kamzoil".
