Call Me Madam September 8, 1950
The rehearsal for the Broadway hit comedy with dances by Jerome Robbins, Directed by George Abbott, and with music by Irving Berlin. The show starred Ethel Merman in the lead role of Ms. Sally Adams, the U.S. Ambassador to Lichtenburg, who upon her arrival immediately falls for Lichtenburger Cosmo Constantine. The show was later made into a film, also starring Ethel Merman.

It tells the story of 12-year old tomboy Frankie Addams' struggle with jealousy as a result of her brother's upcoming marriage, and her relationship with their African-American maid that blooms from it. At the Empire Theatre.

The musical comedy revolves around the god Jupiter who seeks an affair with the already-married mortal Helen (Priscilla Gillette). To win her over, the sex-crazed Jupiter disguises himself as Helen's husband (William Eythe), until he is tracked down by his wife Juno (star Charlotte Greenwood).
